Covers the ice climbs along the David Thompson Highway (Hwy 11) from Nordegg to the Icefields Parkway at the Saskatchewan River Crossing. This area generally recieves less snow than most of the Rockies and can be a good place to head in poor weather. There are endless free camping opportunities along the highway for those who like to sleep in tents or vehicles. The small town of Nordegg has gas, basic groceries, a restaurant & pub, and a liquor store.Â
